Phantoms Of The Future

UPDATE: Lupe Fiasco claims he is not the singer in Japanese Cartoon, but instead a man by the name of Percival Fats (born Percival Hindenburg-Fats). Sounds like an alter ego…

After 808’s & Heartbreak, I knew everyone else would be on some alternative shit soon enough. Left field projects from Lil’ Wayne and Diddy have already been confirmed and it looks like we can add Lupe Fiasco to the list as well. I was chatting with Steve-O earlier and he thinks “The Game will start a rock band next.” Ha! That’ll be the day. Like they say, no idea is original. Fortunately, these tracks from Lupe’s band, Japanese Cartoon, are actually pretty good.

Japanese Cartoon – “Army”

I knew Lupe Fiasco wasn’t going to retire that easily. I’m looking forward to seeing where he goes with this. Props to SmokeYYY for sending these over. By the way, “Shining Down” will be the first single from Everywhere, the first installment of LupEND.
